AVENUE
STAGE
AVENUE STAGE began by producing short plays in a dinner theater format for the Dorchester audience. Our premiere production was Lanford Wilson's A Betrothal in 2013, followed by David Storey's Home, the original comedy Shared Bath, Full English, Arthur Miller's I Can't Remember Anything, and Christopher Durang's The Actor's Nightmare. In 2017, our original comedy Fish Food successfully transferred to Boston Playwrights' Theatre, and subsequently enjoyed a 14-show run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As the QE2 Players, we were active in and around Boston from 1997 to 2008. Productions of those years included Harold Pinter’s Moonlight; Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads; Sunil Kuruvilla’s Fighting Words; and Caryl Churchill’s Fen and Blue Heart. AVENUE STAGE is proud to contribute to the vibrant community and arts scene of Dorchester.
